Television Drama, Short Films, & Audio Drama

                            Welcome to my Website:

ABOUT EMILY...
I am an award-winning screenwriter writing inclusive, character-first drama with a thriller pulse. For my 'Coming of Age' Regency Romance Foxton Hall that means romance with real consequence, and secrets that cost.

I hold an M.A. with Distinction in Writing for Script & Screen from Falmouth University, and alongside writing I have worked as a BBC Production Assistant & Researcher, children's book writer-illustrator, and Diversity & Inclusion advocate. I’m also a disabled and neurodivergent writer, committed to normalising inclusion through entertaining, culturally rich storytelling.

Already Produced:
  • Olympian - short film project launched onto the festival circuit, produced by 494 Films, Directed by Simon Jenner. First screening WFTV Short Film Club, now screening internationally (more details on the competition awards & news page).
  • Did Alan Call?  - short drama screenplay  recorded by award winning voiceover artist Margaret Ashley and is available to hear as an Audio Screenplay on the Streaming Platform Outwrd. Just click on the link and search for Did Alan Call? to listen:

Pilot & Pitch Decks for Producers:
  • Foxton Hall - ensemble Regency romance serial with an “above/below-stairs” lens and high-stakes social intrigue. It's sophistication, silk and secrets that all unravel as the two young friends fight to survive in an arena that does not welcome them: the debutante season in Regency England. Pilot, Season Arc & Pitch Deck available on request.
  • Last Apocalypse - post-apocalyptic horror/sci-fi serial with an unusual ‘quantum’ mechanic underpinning the action for greater unpredictability. Multiple season returning drama with long character arcs that don't just develop, they transform, transport and even transmutate! Pilot, Season Arc, Pitch Deck Bible & Narrative Game Design Document available on request (Game 1 PoC with later add-ons).
  •  Hobbs & Pengelly- a six-part regional (Cornwall, UK) detective season with returnability and an ensemble cast. High stakes and well-hidden secrets, all with a hot pasty in hand! "Geddon!" Pilot, Season Arc and Pitch Deck in editorial developmental stages.
