News... 2026...
I was awarded the Television Script Award at the London Director Talents Awards event in London for my script Foxton Hall.
It was a great event- well run and buzzing with talented filmmakers and writers. With 10 wins over Christmas & another 10 wins in January and 5 more in February before Valentines Day and 3 more late February... Over 3 scripts and one micro-short film, I have experienced a lot of global success and multiple awards for each project, but especially my 'Coming of Age' Regency Romance Foxton Hall.

ABOUT EMILY...
I am an award-winning screenwriter writing inclusive, character-first drama with a thriller pulse. For my 'Coming of Age' Regency Romance Foxton Hall that means romance with real consequence, and secrets that cost.

I hold an M.A. with Distinction in Writing for Script & Screen from Falmouth University, and alongside writing I have worked as a BBC Production Assistant & Researcher, children's book writer-illustrator, and Diversity & Inclusion advocate. I’m also a disabled and neurodivergent writer, committed to normalising inclusion through entertaining, culturally rich storytelling.

Currently developing:
  • Foxton Hall - ensemble Regency romance with an “above/below-stairs” lens and high-stakes social intrigue. Pilot & Pitch Deck available.
  • Last Apocalypse - post-apocalyptic horror/sci-fi series with an unusual ‘quantum’ mechanic underpinning the action for greater unpredictability. Pilot, Pitch Bible & Game Design Document available (Game 1 PoC with later add-ons).
  • Olympian - short film project launching on the festival circuit, produced by 494 Films, Directed by Simon Jenner.
  • Did Alan Call?  - short script that gained me a place on Screen Cornwall & the BFI's New Writers' Network S.W. Cohort 2025 has been renamed, recorded by award winning voiceover artist Margaret Ashley and is available to hear as an Audio Screenplay on the Streaming Platform Outwrd. Just click on the link and search for Did Alan Call? to listen: https://www.outwrdplus.com/

Next in development:
  • A script for an A.I. short collaboration with an A.I. animation artist
  • Six-part regional (Cornwall) detective season with returnability
  • A Horror Feature collab
  • An animation series: YA Sci-Fi thriller

In 2026 I am seeking: representation (agent/manager) and/or a commissioning producer/development partner for TV projects. I’m open to collaborations, writers’ rooms, and industry conversations- contact me through LinkedIn to set up a virtual coffee:

Larch and Lyra G.:  SUCH A CUTE BOOK
"Big Dog, Little Dog or Someone In-Between" is such a cute book, you can follow the rhyming story or drool over all the cute dogs. A fun way to teach children about different dog breeds, I just hope my daughter doesn't want all of them!

Mark from Bodmin:  DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
We recently received both the advanced ABC & Number monsters books and they're absolutely fantastic.

The illustrations are so well done, colourful and the attention to detail in the drawings are absolutely delightful.

The number monsters is a super quirky book full of character and the creatures inside are super fun and full of life. As they go from 1 - 20 they've been an excellent addition in bringing our boy around to the teens especially and the illustrations are brilliant, quirky and fun. Each page introduces a new number monster as you go leading up to the big finale at the end.

The Advanced ABC has what i imagine as quite a cosy and comforting drawing style while using a nice collection of alliteration and fun sentences to help children become more familiar with the key letters on each page. The artistic illustrations compliment the writing very well and make it even more engaging for our boy. Each page looks as if there could be a card based edition to the book which I think would work wonders to help with learning the ABC's too. The last pages are a summary of each letter for a 'quick-guide' to the ABC's within.

I'd definitely recommend the books to anyone with a youngling after some education.

As an added extra, we also received a cute fridge magnet of some of the Number monsters as well as a lovely display card with a personal 'thank you' message from Emily too. All packaged very nicely so would also make for a superb gift for others.

Definitely recommend!

Nick from Falmouth: A MUST HAVE
Bought for my young god daughter, superb illustration and well written. To find a book that is educationally beneficial and fun to read is hard, but this ticked all those boxes. Well worth a look.
