Logline:
The Athlete readies herself for the tasks ahead. The crowd watches and the commentators follow the action as it unfolds... However, this is no ordinary Olympic Arena and the audience- well, the audience leaves a lot to be desired!
Can the Athlete attain her goal: that elusive gold that can sometimes seem to be so far out of reach? When all support seems lost, can she muster what it takes? And what becomes an Olympic event for her, might not be for anybody else...
Debut screening May 2026 chosen by Women in Film & TV screened at Falmouth University.

She wants to discuss plans with her son, Alan, but he seems elusive. When she remembers a devastating event, she finally understands what has happened... but only for a moment.
Did Alan Call? is the rewritten version of Dignity, as inspired by the 1-2-1 BFI feedback session with Laura Jayne Tunbridge (writer of Sweet Pea, etc).
